Growl and GrowlMail are not the same thing. Turning Growl off has no
effect; turning GrowlMail off is one way to work around the problem.
The other way is to switch GrowlMail to summary mode. In this mode,
GrowlMail posts only one notification per account, telling you how
many messages you received, instead of posting one notification per
message. This is handy if you receive a lot of email, and *extremely*
handy if the other way crashes Mail. ;)
