In order to achieve a coherent design also with respect to the OS X system on which HardwareGrowler is operating I would suggest to use the OS X battery status icons that are also used in the Menu bar. You can find the files in: /System/Library/CoreServices/Menu\ Extras/Battery.menu/Contents/ Resources/
If you want to include the png files in HardwareGrowler, just contact me and I can send it to you or upload it. I'm using these icons right now, and they are looking much better than the greenish from the 1.1.5 release.
