The installer for GrowlMail has been broken for the last several releases. In 1.2 it is broken in new and entertaining ways.
I am fed up with this: it just can not be that hard to get right. if someone can fix this within a month (so, in a release of Growl made on or before 7 November 2009) and *keep it fixed* for a year after the release, I will donate £100 to the project. "Fixed" means: * The installer should actually work (on a machine running a current 10.5 release at least) for users both with and without admin rights on the machine. * For both kinds of users it should offer the option of installing for all users (ie in /Library/Mail) or for the current user only. Obviously for a non-admin user it will need to prompt for authentication in the all-users case. This is what the installer for everything else I use does. If anyone would like to take me up on this mail me. --tim --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Growl Discuss" group.
