I searched Google for the first part of the message and found out that
MDS is Module Directory Services, part of the Common Data Security
Architecture:

(That document is written for VMS, but the concepts should be roughly
the same.)
The message comes from Apple's implementation of MDS. This is part of
the Security subsystem, so it most probably happens as part of Growl
accessing the Keychain (which, in turn, is most probably for either
MailMe or forwarding). At this point, I say it's either a bug in the
MDS code or a problem on your system.
I suggest editing the title on your bug report to start with “Security/
CDSA/MDS: ”, so they know what it's really about.
