You do have MailMe, because it comes with Growl.

A thought struck me: We use CDSA. What if we initialize it unconditionally on launch?

It turns out we do. The first thing GrowlHelperApp's main class does on launch is unconditionally initialize CDSA.

This makes sense, since it's easier to initialize it unconditionally during launch than to have to conditionally initialize it later on.

So that's when the message occurs: When Growl starts up.

I don't think this is our bug, though. It affects a bunch of apps, including even iChat:

You can see from the Console output in the first message in that thread why I suspected Keychain. A lot of those probably are getting it through Keychain.

I recommend repairing your permissions (even though it didn't help that user) and adding the link to that thread to your Apple bug report.
