I was looking at the roadmap earlier and noticed that Sparkle integration is planned in 1.3. I cloned the repo and found that there's a previous branch named `sparkle` indicating it'd been a part of Growl at some point (the list of modified files shows the typical Sparkle/SU*.m/h files).
I've never used Mercurial before, and I'm having difficulty switching to that branch to learn what happened to it. I found a few tutorials online that were recommended more than once by the hg community so I'm going to run through those to get a better feel for it, as I think it has a lot more differences from git than I'd ignorantly assumed. I don't really have a preference between the backend and GUI; I'd just be happy to contribute wherever you feel is a good starting point. --lowell On May 20, 2010, at 5:55 AM, Chris Forsythe wrote: > Do you like working on backend or GUI types of things? > > Is there anything that you would like to start off with? > > Are you familiar with mercurial? > > Chris > > On May 19, 2010, at 6:23 PM, "Vizon, Lowell" <[email protected]> wrote: > >> -----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- >> Hash: SHA1 >> >> The opportunity to contribute to one of my favorite projects is >> something I can't pass up. >> >> Of the listed technologies, I'm fluent only in Objective-C, though. >> Makefiles and Package Maker come with the territory, so I'm able to >> reasonably work with them, though I'm coming mainly from the consumer >> side on the former.
