No; this is the first I've heard of it.

They haven't talked to us, either. (Not that I'm aware of. It's possible that 
Chris got something from them, but he hasn't said anything about such an 
overture, so I don't think so.)

Yes, with one string: A common request used to be to add support for named 
buttons (or, sometimes, progress bars) in notifications. Our objection to this 
has always been that this makes a “notification” into more of a miniature 
dialog box than an actual notification. We still don't want to do such a thing; 
Growl is a notifications system, nothing more, and always will be.

Is there anyone who's used Google Notifier who can say what the options in its 
notification window do? It doesn't seem any different from a Growl 
notification, but that's without knowing what “Options” does.
