Peter - I don't believe that I am running an older version. The version that displays in System Preferences is 1.1.6. No other copy shows up in Spotlight. If indeed there is a previous version on my HD then where would it be?
If I must go through this uninstall/re-install process, then I imagine I would have to get the uninstaller from my other computer, which has 1.2 on it. > On Jun 8, 2010, at 01:46:34, Bruce and Sue Cathro wrote: >> On this computer (G5) I'm running OS 10.4.11. > > OK, so then it should be running 1.1.6. > > The problem is probably as I'd guessed: You have two copies of Growl > installed, and you're running the older one. > > The solution is what I said before‹uninstall Growl, then re-install the > correct version‹with a twist: You'll need to use the uninstaller for 1.2, > because older versions of the uninstaller were broken, and the installer for > 1.1.6, because you can't install or run 1.2. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Growl Discuss" group.
