You can send Growl a notification from outside using the growlnotify command-line tool that comes in the Extras folder on the Growl disk image. If you don't have that installed yet, wait until 1.2.1b5, which should be out shortly. That's the first version in which growlnotify will be in an Installer package, as opposed to a shell script. > My guesstimation is that the underlying WebKit is changed by Safari 5.
