The previous logging, while containing some debug information like
"positionDisplay: could not reserve initial rect; looking for another one",
also contains useful operational log records like buddy status updates from
Adium.

You might want to add the distinction between developer debug logging and
operational logging.

Hmm, OK.  I've had Growl installed for quite a few years now.  I've never
tried (never needed to try) changing any logging settings before.
Apparently, the default was not off in the past.
