Greetings, Techs! New user here, so apologies in advance for the inevitable, "Duh!" I'm going to say when I've found I missed something obvious :)
Computer: MacBookPro, OSX 10.6 Mail: Thunderbird 3.1.4 Growl: 1.2 Growl was first installed as a part of Dropbox (now known here as The Dearly (Not) Departed). When I updated Growl I saw that Thunderbird was available in the applications tab and clicked it to enable; left Application Settings on default; on Notifications tab chose a sound but left all else at its default. Nothing was happening so I next checked Thunderbird Preferences/Manage Add Ons, and installed "Growl New Message Notification 0.4.1" It is working, but each time a new message comes in, I get a little popup saying: "Growl New Message Notification. Required Growlnotify extra has not been found. Please install it." Searching for anything called "Growlnotify Extra", I found something called "growl_notifications-1.0.2-fx+tb+fl-macosx.xpi" but the instructions for installation call for steps not available on the menus on my programs. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. Even as it stands, the error message is doing the basic job of telling me mail has come in :) Cheers MJ -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Growl Discuss" group.
