I uninstalled growl when it showed up with dropbox and I did change the dropbox preferences. All was fine until a few days ago when it came back. I associated it with downloading the latest version of Skype but they deny having anything to do with it and growl's page of applications that add it in without permission doesn't mention Skype. So, I downloaded the uninstaller from growl and ran it figuring all would be good as it was the last time but it's still there. I did it again. It's still there. I double checked the preferences on dropbox. I can't even find growl on my computer (but never could - it seems to be a very mysterious process). Help!! I REALLY find it annoying. I'm running OS 10.5.8 if that helps.
