The simplest and therefore best way is the uninstaller included in the archive.

The other way is to delete GrowlMail manually, by dragging it to the Trash.

All a link is is a description of a location, and our links are very simple. 
There is no reason a browser should crash on them.

You may want to try Safari or Google Chrome, or try removing some extensions 
from your installation of Firefox. If you can still get Firefox to crash with 
no extensions, you should report the crashes to Mozilla.
