The same thing has just happened to me. I used Carbon Copy Cloner to clone my HD as it was dying. Everything else works except GrowlSafari.
Growl 1.2.2, GrowlSafari 1.2.2, Safari 5.0.5, OSX 10.6.8. I tried disabling SIMBL (for PithHelmet) and Glims, no change. If I don't start GrowlSafari it's OK.
