If you don't have any applications successfully notifying, that's the first
thing to check. We know Adium works, so that's one to try.
If not, then everything in that thread applies, and the same may go for Opera:
If they worked with 1.2.2 and don't work with 1.3, and you can tell that 1.3 is
working because you have at least one other application that successfully
notifies with it, then the applications that aren't notifying—Transmit and
Opera, in your case—are incompatible with Growl 1.3, and you should contact
their developers.
