GrowlMail and GrowlTunes are no longer part of the Growl distribution.
Technically they never were part of Growl -- just freebie extras provided as
proof-of-concept -- and having the Extras tied to Growl's release cycle was
causing no end of problems; GrowlMail in particular was a source of unending
pain and suffering, since it could not be released without a new build of
Growl, and thus broke every time Apple changed Mail.app's internals.

As a result, Rudy has taken over the GrowlMail project, which is still
available separately (and for free) and no longer bound to Growl's own release
cycles; it's now able to update MUCH faster, and has its own auto-update
mechanism now. The page at http://growl.info/growlmail/ has more information
on this move, and links to the new site where you can download the current
GrowlMail.

Hopefully that helps! :)
