Ditto to all the above... I have a new macbook air, on which there were no previous versions of Growl. When 1.3 was released, I bought and installed it. Initially, it recognized nothing.
I downloaded Simplest Evar; it recognized that. Since then, it only picked up one or two new applications. I ran GVD and updated the framework on everything it showed (which I was uncomfortable doing but did anyway). The only thing this worked for was Adium; the others still don't (Dropbox, etc.) and a few applications (Firefox) don't even show up on the GVD list. Also, I have read that Spotify integrates with Growl (though it's not listed on the website), which didn't show up either. I will say, I do have Quicksilver, and I have read that it may do funny things with Growl. Is that the source of these problems?
