One thing I can tell you all for sure: applying setting is still
broken in 1.3.1.
If I open the prefs of Dropbox or Skype or whatever and I check or
uncheck any logging-checkbox, the changes are absolutely not applied.
Sometimes changes do suddenly apply, but I did not find out what
triggered it.

How hard can it be to apply these changes?
