I have attached what I am talking about. On the left, next to the calendar, you can see the number 10, which represents the number of unread/upcoming events. When clicked, those 10 unread/upcoming events show in the menu. I think Growl would benefit from such a system (maybe not through text but something graphically instead).
When I click growl, I see the most recent notifications, but it would be better to display the unread notification number on the outside and then show the content of the notification only when the icon is clicked.
