My Mac has OS X Lion, my Safari is Ver 5.1.1, and my Mail is 5.1. I . I installed Growl 1.3.1 and it does not recognize Mail. Funnily, one of my seven mailboxes in Mail does appear in Growl/Preferences/ Applications, although it doesn't seem to work (i.e., does not report received messages). I don't see any way of forcing Mail to register with Growl. I have read in some places references to a GrowlMail add- on to Growl, and that it is in the installation package. However, I have never seen the installation package, since it is installed from Apple Store leaving nothing behind - no package, no anything. Please, let me know what can I do, because notification of messages is the main reason for my using Growl. BTW, the previous version did work, and I changed to this paid version only because of insisting ads.
