Well, I wasn't sure if I had downloaded the right version of Yahoo
Messenger to check with since it says Beta on their download page, and
then I looked in their frameworks directory, and even if it is a
slightly newer version than what you have, they are using a very
outdated Growl.framework (0.7.3 from several years ago) which uses
deprecated ways for talking to Growl.  Should be a good candidate to
upgrade using GrowlVersionDetective, just download it from
http://growl.info/downloads and run it, and then look in the
applications tab for Yahoo! Messenger.app and click the upgrade
framework button.
