it's one of the notifications but if it's flickering so much like that makes me think your adaptor or battery is going bad as I've never seen that and I use hardware growler a lot to help notify of any changes hardware wise on my Mac

If I leave my macbook and come back a while later i'm always greeted by a growl summary screen with a flood of these messages. It's information I simply don't need anyway - I don't need to be told when i've plugged in or unplugged my charger. I already know i've done this, because i've just done it.
