Basically what that crash is saying is that it can't load the XPC we use to communicate with Growl. The reason for this is an invalid code signature, which due to the nature of the App Store shouldn't be the case on first install certainly. There are a couple of possible causes, messing around inside the bundle could mess with its code signature, or it might be a corrupt install, which could be caused by a variety of things. Probably the simplest thing to test is to try to uninstall/reinstall hardwaregrowler from the app store. If you still have issues, we can investigate further.
