There are a few options here:

not sure how many are up to date.

Apple uses private API to support dragging of icons, so we can't
support that.  There are hacks out there that can enable it, but as a
warning, we have had reports of severe stability issues (for Growl)
introduced by one or more of these hacks, so I won't be linking to any
of them.
