Fine, no reply needed. Just make sure you know I am NOT speaking for the
developer. All my comments are mine, alone. He is fully capable of
answering your questions and improving his app. Which, in my opinion, is
well worth three times the cost! ;-)

I have seen some pretty strange responses from people who seem to think
they are the ONLY customer who ever bought Growl. Some seem to think that
there is a whole 'support team' sitting in an office just waiting for
someone to ask for help.

I see the developers solve problems for customers in many different ways.
Some changes they can incorporate in the new versions, which, BTW, usually
don't cost you anything. Try that next time Adobe 'offers' you an update!
Some they can trace to having multiple versions of Growl installed. They
even provide an uninstaller to remove the app (a free download, of
course!). Some they can offer work-arounds. Just remember, they do all this
while balancing work on the next version, trying to keep other developers
to keep their code up-to-date with new Growl frameworks, trying to keep
Apple happy with their absurdly restraining 'sandboxing' requirements,
answering emails in at least four different groups and trying to pay the
bills for their office (which I suspect is a converted study/bedroom!). LOL!

I'm sure my disgust with your attitude was easily seen by anyone following
the thread you started. I should have been more compassionate toward your
troubles! Just remember, my comments are *from me* personally and *tp you*
personally, the developers had no input to them. I won't even mind if they
delete them. After all, they aren't really doing anything 95% of the time,
right? Every other app I have is purfeck, enluding meye spel-chequer!
Programming is just typing, anyway...

Mr. Forsythe (and gang), keep up the great work, your app and work are
appreciated by the vast majority of customers who have an inkling of what
Growl has done and will be able to do, in spite of 'sandboxing!' I would
suggest you raise the price by making the new version a different app
instead of just an update.

btw, I have said my piece, and I am a happy customer! And I, once again,
compliment you on your extreme abundance of patience! ;-)
