My suggestion would be to change your settings in the Security & Privacy
pref panel.

   1. Open your System Preferences (in the 'Apple' menu) and click the icon
that looks like a house with a rotary lock on it. If the lock icon in the
Security & Privacy Pref panel window is shown as *locked*, click it and
enter your regular, (Administrator) login password when asked.
   2. Click the "Firewall" tab.
   3. Click the "Firewall Options..." button.
   4. You should now see a list of things that you want to allow access
   through your Firewall.

The top part of that list will contain any System Prefs you've enabled for
various Sharing operations (DVD or CD Sharing, File Sharing, Printer
Sharing, etc.). Below that is a list of applications you want to allow to
have access through the Firewall. You probably do NOT see Growl in the
list, that's why you are getting those notifications. To add Growl (and
stop those Notifications), click the "+" button. You will then see a
standard navigation dialog in which you can access almost everything on
your machine. Just navigate to the Growl icon (probably in your
Applications folder), click it and then click the "Add" button. Click "OK"
to close the drop-down sheet and command-Q to quit the System Prefs. You've
probably already figured this out. If not, hope this helps. ;-)
