We're still working on Growl, don't worry. NC notification integration, while nice, isn't the meat and potatoes of what Growl does really. Note routing is what Growl does. There could be improvements there, however there are other items which need to be addressed and have a higher priority.
The current version of Growl works overall. We have to be very careful about changes we make not impacting 1+ million users.
