Great to hear. Looking forward to see an up to date Growl again.
Yes, current version works more or less, but lack of updates made me 
hesitant to implement or recommend it. I thought you already have given up. 

The annoying thing is when Growl and OS X notifications start to overlay 
each other. Actually, it would probably even better if there'd be a hack 
that allows to replace standard OS X notifications and let them be handled 
by Growl. Other than that a forward to notification center in form of a 
growl plugin would really be helpful.

There was at one point a growl plugin to allow forwarding as OS X 
notifications. However they hacked the API of OS X to display custom icons 
and made each program to show up in a individual category etc. It was quite 
unstable and later development seized.

Do you know if what i have heard about the newer OS X Notification API 
true? That you can customize it better (icon etc) without hacks?
