I've been using Growl successfully for many years on Macs. Wonderful! In the last year or so (mainly after upgrading to El Cap), I noticed that my archival Growl (0.7?) wasn't displaying a bubble notice on the screen when I did a SuperDuper backup. So I did a paid update to Growl (2.1.3), and it STILL doesn't do it. Now, it's kinda weird. The pull-down menu on Growl reports that "SuperDuper! Copy Succeeded", so Growl KNOWS that it did that. It just doesn't put a bubble display on the screen to report it.
BUT, I have a separate Mac running an identical operating system with Growl set up in EXACTLY the same way, and on that machine it DOES put a bubble notification on the screen. I've compared Growl settings on the two machines several times and, I'm serious, they're identical. So what's the difference? I want a bubble display on the screen. I'm assuming that maybe El Cap on one machine is perhaps set up with preferences that don't allow a bubble display? What can I do to resolve this? -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Growl Discuss" group.
