I run one in my rex and its heaps quieter than the external Bosch 044 that I 
had in my GSR.

I can only hear the pump when priming before startup... Try isolating the 
pump from the intank bracket using some rubber.

The rex's are held in with a rubber base and the rubber fuel hose.. No metal 
to metal contact at all.
