Hello all I just got my Lancer Evo here in Canada (1992) and noticed that it
overheats if I drive it over 80km/hour but if I dont it gets warm but does not
overheat. I though perhaps it needed more coolant and went to top it up (left
the cap off while running to get out all the bubbles and the car began to boil
the coolant out of the rad even though the temp gauge read only half way). I
have not taken the thermostat out to inspect it yet and plan to do that but it
just seems kind of strange. Had a Lancer GSR ( 1.8, 4G93T) before and it did
not do this at all when I went to top the coolant off. Any ideas? Also anybody
eles out there have rust (small little circular bubble type rust) on the roof
in 3 or 4 straight line across front side to side? -- Shon FergusonJDM Auto
