I use Globus 4.0.3 and use Gatekeeper(GRAM2) of it.

In GT4 it is possible if you use a host cert whose CN matches the result

reverse DNS query of the public facing host's IP address.

I don't know how/if you can do this with GRAM2, you saying 'gatekeeper'
makes
me think you are talking about pre-webservices GRAM?
