Charles,

I have a suspicion:

Could this error happen when not all the machines are on-line?

Here, the info from several machines is gathered by the head machine,
then delivered elsewhere.

I have see this, but that isn't our standard document.

The main document is here.

Although...the machine in question is a cluster, and I have only notes
from a person more knowlegeable than I to go from.

But let me say again: Globus was starting up clean before I updated
and re-started the machines.

Some of them had to re-build their RAIDs (takes hours) and during this
time, the ones that started got those Globus errors.

Since all the machines have come up, I have since re-started Globus,
and it comes up clean, and Ganglia/MDS works again!

So... I would call this a case of very poor error message.

Should I file a bug report?
