Yes, it is true that GridShib does not currently support SAML V2.0. Assuming Google still plans on going ahead with Google Summer of Code 2009, and Globus will be involved in GSoC this year, and I win a slot among those projects allocated to Globus, this is my top priority for Google Summer of Code 2009.
