Hi,

I've realized that replicating directories is a really slow operation, running at around a couple directories per second. As we have thousands to replicate using gridFTP I've wonder if there's any option for accelerating this. I've tried using -cc but without any success, it might be running a little faster but not much really.

I think this is so because every sub-directory is queried and retrieved individually. I guess what I'm looking for is an option to tell globus-url-copy to send the whole directory structure at once first, and then start downloading files...

We are having some issues with MODE E so until we sort that out we mus rely on stream mode, but I don't think this changes anything. (I've tried it using -p shortly but saw also no improvement at all)

Thanks,
Estani
