AOA Kasim,

I believe you have skipped something in the quick start guide. probably setting 
up the GLOBUS_LOCATION env variable. Because the line below 

gpt-build   -srcdir=source-trees-thr/core/source 

shows it is taking source-trees-thr as the dir name here it should be the name 
of the sources directory where globus sources reside. 

i hope this helps.
