Hi,

I followed the GT 5.0.4 Quickstart Guide and I setup my machines similarly
to donkey and elephant. My grid passed each test in Quickstart, but when I
tried running some examples mentioned in:
http://www.globus.org/toolkit/docs/5.0/5.0.4/user/#gram5-user-prepare
I was unable to complete them. Reasons:
- Firstly, I got an error code 93, cite: " the gatekeeper failed to find the
requested service " and I'm not quite sure what to do with that. Instead of
jobmanager-pbs, I used jobmangager-fork. Can someone tell me the diffrence
between them?
- Secondly, when I finally could use examples, this particular:
"*globus-job-run **grid.example.org:2119/jobmanager-fork -np 10 -s a.out"*
was suppose to get me hostnames of nodes it is executed on and it responds
me in 10 instances of my hostname. My questions:
- Is it connected with lack of jobmager-pbs? With it will execute on each
node?
- I found that jobmanager in Quickstart is only provided on first machine.
Is it correct, shouldnt I have jobmanagers on each node?
- Is there any other possibilty to activate other nodes and show their
influence in jobs which I submit?

Thanks for reading it and hope that You can help me :)

Cheers,
Wojtek Chmiel
