Hi Gary, It really depends on how much control you need and what product/method you are using. If you are using a paper based system you could do a 3x5 card based system, a la "The Sidetracked Sisters" method. (Cards with tasks color coded by frequency [i.e. white for daily, blue for weekly, yellow for monthly, red for annually, etc.] in a box with a 43 tabbed divider system so the cards rotate and pop up when needed). If you are using a software based system, most have some kind of repeating feature so that when you mark this one done, the software automatically generates the next instance of the task to pop up at the right time. > I have a weekly reminder to put out the garbage bins for collection on > a Sunday night ready for Monday morning. How do I show that this > week's action has been done but next weeks is still in the tickler? And don't overlook the idea that a lot of this stuff does not have to be tracked very closely. You might pretty well know what day of the week the trash has to go out and it is probably not of much value to keep records of each time you put it out. ;-) > Am > I supposed to make the tickler an action and then once the action is > completed make it a tickler again? You might reconsider the phrase "supposed to" ... you are not supposed to do anything but what makes you more productive in your own personal situation. -- Cheers, Mike --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "GTD TiddlyWiki" group.
