Well, I found an explanation (http://www.mail-archive.com/ [email protected]/msg03694.html) of the install process, and yeah, you have to install basically all the plugins (including several not listed there) as a group, plus set it to the MPTW theme.
I confess, I'm a bit frustrated - I like the features enough to go ahead and do it, but I hadn't intended to completely change the way my Wiki looks for the sake of a single plugin - among other things, as someone that's just trying to learn how to put one together, it makes it pretty difficult to work out the interrelations when you find out that it's not one plugin, but a dozen, it's all undocumented, and it completely changes everything you thought you'd figured out about the way the Wiki was setup - I don't even have a menu bar to the left column anymore, which completely changes the organizational layout, and the toolbar shadowtiddler no longer controls the tool bar. On further thought, I think I'm going to have to see how much of this I can reverse engineer into some simpler plugins - I've cleaned up to many of other peoples messes to drop this into a work environment as it stands with none of the Tiddly Wiki documentation being valid. Shucks and other comments. It's was sure pretty.while it lasted.
