Hello Maglet, Not sure how this will be received, but I find dropbox to be a great solution for this problem (and for other "data moving with me" issues; sans-USB stick).
It works on Windows, OS X, and Linux. I'm using all 3 to access my dropbox, and it couldn't get any simpler. I save something on my laptop and I can see the other machines getting their updates almost immediately. I use it for all sorts of stuff, pretty much anything I'm working on that I'll want to access at home, from work, or out and about. It sounds so cliche but it's so true. http://www.dropbox.com/tour BTW, if you decide to sign up, please consider using my referral link (https://www.dropbox.com/referrals/NTE3MDk4Mjk) which gives both of us and extra "250 MB of bonus space". FYI, the Basic (free) account is 2GB which seems plenty big for my daily uses.
