MGSD is poorly documented unfortunately.  The best way to learn about
tiddlers and the MGSD architecture is just to play with it.  I use
MGSD with a couple of plugins to follow the book as closely as
possible.  For me, part of the challenge of MGSD is having the
discpline to operate it properly.  Sometimes I stray from the "true
path", maybe spending ages on one task when it is not really important
for my goals, or just grabbing tasks that seem attractive when they
would be better done later.  When I return to the "true path" and
apply strict GTD, everything becomes clear again and my anxiety
suddenly reduces.
