To avoid wasting people's time, I'm replying to my own post. I noticed that in mgsd.html contained dozens of action divs with a tag for the "Home" context, but the gui didn't recognise the continued existence of the "Home" context. So I simply deleted all the "Home" context tags using vim and everything seems to work fine now. It would seem that the "Home" context got deleted (despite me clicking to "cancel" the deletion in the relevant JS alert box), but the tags were left behind. I'm pretty sure that I pressed that "cancel" button, so there may be an issue with maintaining 'state' in the relevant bit of code.
