Hi, I want to bring back the idea of adding spell checking in GTK+/GIO.

For this, the code in the spell gedit plugin, or in gtkhtml is a good start. I currently have the time to work on this. Some questions: Are you still open to add such a functionality in GIO/GTK+? How to handle the dependency to enchant in GIO? Is a hard dependency a problem?
