Hey'

Is the following accurate? I've gleaned it from ban.c and version.h. If
it looks OK I'll submit a patch for the FAQ.

What does "Harmful version banned, upgrade required"
mean?

Sometimes, servents are discovered to have a bug or behaviour that is
harmful
to the gnet. For example, gtk-gnutella-0.92b had a bug that generated
excessive
queries which hammered on the GWebCache system.
Such banning is exceptional, usually restricted to specific versions,
and the
servent's author is informed about the banning. Versions of
gtk-gnutella more
than one year old are also banned, since they lack features that are
important
to the rapidly evolving gnet's health and scalability. In addition,
unstable
(cvs) versions are banned after 90 days. If you have one of these
archaic
versions, you'll see the message: "Outdated version, please upgrade".
