Since the first line should be a brief description it might really
be better to move examples - even if short - to the detailed
description. Thus, "e.g." or "i.e." wouldn't appear there. I cannot
really think of other necessary cases in which a dot would be used
for a purpose other than a full-stop. Using "like" instead of "e.g."
might be more readable even.

You don't need to fix them but if you notice more of those, feel
free to request a change (unless you can easily/want to edit it
yourself).
