It's not scrambled, it's just updated. Huge values are simply negative values
converted to an unsigned 32-bit integer. We could forbid negative values which
might fix the problem for you but some people might want the window a bit
off-screen. There is a check which ensures that at least some part of the
window is still on-screen. It is certainly "unfortunate" if a window manager
does not support moving of such a window but still allows it to be placed
there.

For what it's worth, I've tried to reproduce the problem with window maker
0.92.0 but it restores the window correctly for me. Maybe it's a fixed bug or
it the result of some setting etc.
