[GTK] Need advice from the gurus

I've been working with C++ for about 6 months and am still wet behind
the ears.  In looking at some of the books on GTK and gnome it would
seem that its primarily based on C.  Not a really problem as I at least
understand C.  Can GTK be used in the C++ environment?
