that functionality. If you're _really_ desperate, there are toolkit level window managers that can give you MDI functionality, at the price of not beeing able to have the internal windows look and behave the same way as toplevel windows.
Yes!! That's perfectly acceptable! I do not care about if internal windows look the same way as toplevels - actually it's even better when they are different.
Which specific toolkit level window managers did you have in mind?
