The definition in Monodoc for

disagrees with what gtk# 2.4 really expects for (a mask of type
Gdk.Bitmap).
The documentation is correct. Are you sure you don't have both gtk# 1.0
and 2.4 installed? If you're using pkg-config or "mcs -pkg:", you need
to ask for gtk-sharp-2.0, not gtk-sharp.
