That's 100% correct.  On other lists (the Vmax lists come to mind) there
is a lot more "tinkering" by the members.  Some have proven that they're
really not up to the task.  (fortunately, I err on the side of caution
when determining if doing some work is within my capabilities)

Bob, this was a very clear and informative message.  If the message
thread continues, I too would like to see it stay on list.  I appreciate
your bringing points of view such as this to the list.  It's sometimes
too easy to blame Yamaha for things which may not be its fault.  And 
I think Yamaha deserves a lot of credit for things-  Sure, it took awhile
for
them to get to replacing the ABS pumps, but it's understandable considering
the potential ramifications of publicly stating that they need replacing.

Thanks for keeping us aware of Yamaha's perspectives.
